What is access control proximity reader?

An access control proximity reader is a device used for granting or denying access to a secured area. Access control reader needs to be used together work with third-party controller. When a user presents their contactless card (known as a credential) within the reader’s activation radius, the reader checks if the user has permission to enter. If authorized, the controller control the door is open, allowing entry.

Civintec Cidron reader works with different types of credentials, including PIN Code, Mobile NFC/BLE, RFID Card and QR code. provide a temporary QR code or PIN code for check-in and check-out.
